Embroidery discovery

Hey there, I furnished a bit of my material buying DMC embroidery threads, so I tested some patterns inspired by Pinterest ideas on embroidery hoops. I am quite found of nature patterns such as plants and insects, and also geometrical shapes, so I plan to make more of them in the future and try more techniques as well!

Several techniques used here, and I really appreciate the addition of beads on it.
I'll try in next projects to mix embroidery threads with other colorful stuff (watercolor, ribbons, etc.)

Ichigotchi Amigurumi Pattern

Hey there, for the last couple of weeks I've been spending my sunday mornings in car boot sales to create a decent collection of enamel pins (a growing passion).

I usually don't buy electronic stuff in this kind of place, but I found a funny toy there that just needed to get new batteries : a Tamagotchi.

I remember having one of those (or a conterfeit, it used to look like a monkey) when I was a child, and since I like retro objects, I negociated with the seller to get it for 1€.

With new batteries, the Tamagotchi was up to a new life! I took good care of my little "Hok", and now she is a beautiful teen that kind of look like a strawberry; the name of the sprite being "Ichigotchi", meaning "strawberry"in japanese, I thought I HAD to make a plush of it.

Ichigothci-chan needs my attention!

Following this introduction, here is the pattern I made! (I use USA terminology, since I am used to find free pattern online from creative american crocheters)

There you are! Ain't she cute?? but you need to give her a lot of love, or else she will turn into a poor rotten strawberry... (the picture is actually my first attempt to make the plush, a lot of hope, yet poor skills...)

Look at those poor soulless eyes... A sad Tamagotchi means you are a bad person.

I hope you enjoy making one of these, I surely enjoy squishing mine between my hands when my Hok wakes me up at 11:00pm for a cleaning session...

Fingerless Gloves, my first real big project

I already talked about my fingerless gloves in the previous article, but I wanted to also post the process of making them in a separate article.

Here is the pattern I used, I couldn't do cable knitting yet, but on a different project I shall try it!
https://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/ramona-flowers-fingerless-gloves

I used 3mm double pointed needles with Katia Merino 100% effect skein color 603. The needle size was small but that's all I had at that moment in time ; now I have many more needles and many more projects to make with them!!

I really like green by the way...

At this point I thought "wow if I manage to actually make decent gloves, I can really call myself a knitter!"

Finally! I can wear my gloves for this autumn! so proud of myself, I will wear them everyday! Even though one glove is too short on the wrist and the other is not the most comfortable on the thumb's connection. Still, I will call this a success.

Etat de l'art

Hello, I'm Maggie and since last year I started to become a crazy knitter, I enjoy crochet and knitting, and I share most of my creation on my personal facebook page. But I understand most of my friends are not really keen to see my creations between facebook ads and political views of their other friends.

Hence gathereing the pictures of my projects and the tutorials I find on the internet under a specific banner was a good initiative I thought.

Here you have the reason I opened this blog named "Châle Heureux", meaning "Happy Shawl" in french. I wanted to actually create a shawl before putting the blog online, but I am crazy with plushes right now and wanted to share them immediately. Hopefully the shawl will come soon...

✨ Prune, Châtaigne & Ecume
I used this pattern from Black Hat Llama for Prune and Châtaigne
    http://blog.blackhatllama.com/2016/04/hanna-free-pattern/4/
and this one for Ecume from the same website

The sea-shells and sea star is from Jessica Polka's book "75 Seashells, Fish, Coral & colorful marine life to knit and crochet", I love this book, since I love marine life too.

✨ Mr. Meeseeks
Mr. Meeseeks from Rick and Morty! For this one I used exactly the same pattern as for Prune, and I just extended the arms and legs, and made the belly a bit wider!

Pokemon
Pokemon are very nice to make plushes, and the ressources in the internet is very varied, so here is what I have done so far (some are my own creations).
